I am a size 18/20 female and 5ft 7 and it took me ages to find a poncho as I was so worried that none would fit me or be so tight and snug around the belly area and too tight that I couldn't wear a coat, as this was needed for a weekend away to Alton towers a coat would be needed underneath. I decided to go for it and buy it and hope for the best. It fits me!! With enough room to wear a coat underneath and still have room to move about! Great product. The material is durable and not the thin stuff that sticks. It's breathable so you don't get hot and sweaty in the rain. A really good buy.
I've not used mine yet, but one of the ones I bought for someone else has been. The product is HUGE! But that's no bad thing, is it? I used to use these things all the time, many years ago and I'd forgotten how useful they are. Glad I found them again!
I bought this raincoat because I ride a bike to work when its nice weather, but at times by the time I finish it starts to rain. The material itself is water resistant, however, because it is trying to be multipurpose, it fails at actually being a raincoat. If you are walking ant there is no wind at all, perhaps it is OK. But the slightest wind will open it up and only the hood will stay on and the rest of it will fly about as a cape, or as those women in music videos in skirts standing over a fan, but instead of looking sexy in a popular music video, you will be a soaking wet mess in the middle of the road.
It's a great fit and it does keep you warm it doesn't have long sleeves I new this before I bought it if I had have wanted long sleeves I would have bought something else wit long sleeves, I would buy again and I would recommend it to my friends.
This is my first time trying a poncho. I do a lot of long-distance road and track walking, but at a brisk pace approaching 4 miles an hour. Usually with backpack of 5 to 7 kilos. One of the challenges is what to wear in heavy rain, especially in warmer weather. I've tried shorts, t-shirt, trainers and get soaking wet. I've tried full waterproofs (Goretex jacket, overtrousers, hiking boots) and get sweaty. Decided to try a poncho. I wanted a high-visibility poncho that's well-made and has good ventilation. I chose this 'TOMSHOO rain Poncho, Raincoat, Waterproof Camping Tent, Tarpaulin, 3-in-1...' Verdict: good quality poncho with outstanding ventilation (I mean ventilation gaps, not breathable fabric). Kept me totally dry down to the knees and kept my rucsack dry. I look like an orange hunchback when wearing my rucsack. This is a good product. Easy to put on and take off. Light but not flimsy. It sheds water so well that my feet got totally soaked, but I guess that is to be expected.
These are good quality rain proof poncho's. Long, go over all sorts of clothing including a back pack. However, the head hole is TINY! I have a very small head for an adult ( I can wear kids hats and specs so you get the idea!) I had to do bit of surgery on this to get our heads in! ( Hubby and I both have one)When that is done, they are great. But if you don't alter it, by the time you have navigated it over your head (and ripped your ears off in the process!) You will have got soaked. So only buy if you are willing to alter the head opening. They fold down very small ( I use a small waterproof wash bag to store them in)
