Really great quality towel that doesn't slip AT ALL (at least for me). The manufacturers seem to have done everything they can to combat common problems with slippage - they've added corners so you can slip the ends round your mat, sticky gel stuff to the underside so it doesn't slip in the first place regardless of the corners, and made the material textured ie. not shiny and smooth so your hands don't slip in downward dog. For hot yoga, this towel is a winner. The colour is also beautiful (I ordered the purple). I ordered two other products to compare which, I must be honest, looked absolutely stunning, but my hands and feet slipped when I tried them out on the carpet, never mind the yoga studio, and I'm sending them back. Couldn't recommend this product highly enough.

An absolute must

I don’t usually write reviews but this product deserves one. I’m a newbie to yoga and looking around in my classes, saw a few genius people using a towell to separate their nose with a mat that 100 pairs of feet had previously touched. I looked at a few of these on Amazon and thought I’d try this one as it wraps onto the mat at either end. Best purchase ever! It not only acts as a barrier but gives you lots more grip, comfort and creates a more personal space for your practice. I’ve already had a couple of people approach me and ask where to get one for themselves

Lightweight and soft but also very slippery

I only recently started practicing (hot) yoga and bought this towel for the studio I was attending. Due to the quarantine situation I never got to use it in the studio so far but am using it now for my home exercises (yoga, HIIT...).

The positive points are the wonderful colour and the very light weight of the towel. It feels very soft and of high quality. The underside has a kind of a rubbery surface and does not slide on a carpet or wooden floor and for sure will stick to a yoga mat in a studio.
It comes with a storage bag and a small spray bottle.
And - leading over to the negative point - you definitely need this spray bottle! Wetting the towel in a hot yoga studio is a must and will give you a good grip on the mat. As I can’t get those temperatures in my home and exercise under normal room temperatures I am not spraying the towel - just to avoid getting my floor covering unnecessarily wet.
Be careful though using this towel in a dry condition - it is extremely slippery!
To be able to exercise normally I use non-slip socks for my yoga practice and trainers for my other exercises, which works perfectly.. Naming this as the only downside of this towel, I would definitely recommend a purchase!

Excellent grip for super sweaty hot yoga

Excellent yoga towel. Have washed and used a few times. Sticks really well, no movement or slipping. I quite like the slightly rougher texture of the top surface, very grippy and absorbent. I do proper hot yoga, a vigorous practice with lots of sweating and moving around and this towel does not let me down at all. I can confidently jump back and move around with zero towel movement. No need to spray at the start as the moisture in the room means it instantly grips to my mat. I like that the corners fit over the end of the mat too. Will definitely be purchasing another one to rotate this one! Highly recommend.

The silicone coating fells off if washed with hot water

The towel itself was great when I got it, and it works for hot yoga, it's non slippery, and fits perfectly the mat. The color was lovely too (picked the pink).

But, if you wash it with hot water, the silicone spots may fall off. I washed it with hot water in the washing machine and this happened to me, causing the silicone spots to be all over the other clothes. This probably was my fault, but I wanted to share my experience, in case you're planning to buy it, beware that washing it with hot water can be a mistake.
I decided to buy a different, microfiber too, but without the silicone coating.

Sheds and needs repositioning

The towel arrived in great time and is a lovely colour. I used it for my hot vinyasa yoga class last night and first impressions were good - it was more than wide enough to cover my whole mat and the corner pocket sat nicely with my mat in.

Once we had started it was fairly grippy although not as grippy as my last one (admittedly was more expensive than this one) and sadly I had to reposition it 4/5 times throughout the hour session, which was a little annoying when you are mid flow.
I’ve just washed it this morning on a cool wash on its own and the edges seem to have gone tatty/bobbled already which is a bit of a shame (see photo). I did notice some small bits coming off it last night getting stuck to my body clothes, which I would expect off a normal bath towel but not really off a yoga towel.. I’m willing to persevere for another couple of classes to see whether now it’s been washed it will stay in place better and not shed much more. But at the moment feeing a little disappointed with the tattiness and repositioning. If it doesn’t improve it’s likely I will want to return it for a refund.

UPDATE: tried again and still moved, also still sheds and has pills on edges. The seller contacted me after seeing this review and offered sending an alternative towel by their brand for free which I will try - hope this one's better. Excellent customer care team, just really hope this other product works.

If you are looking for the absolute best Non Slip Hot Yoga Towel, you've literally found it. I bought two of these and I can't even find the words to describe how good this product is; it sticks to the mat to perfection and it makes hot yoga classes seem like regular ones, and you don't have to worry about sweating anymore. I'm using it with the marvellous "Manduka PROLite" and it makes the perfect match. Well done Heathyoga!!!

Bad for the environment

I initially really liked this towel. The bag and spray bottle it comes with are handy. I use it mostly for hot yoga and it provides good grip on top and doesn't move on the mat. The little pockets at each end are useful for securing it in place. But as other reviewers have noted, the coating underneath the towel has gradually started to come away. I follow the washing instructions, so it shouldn't be due to heat from washing. During lockdown I'm now using the towel for yoga at home and I can see where the coating is coming off and sticking to my mat. It's possible to wipe/brush it off but I just think it's terrible that this plastic coating is coming off all over the place. So bad for the environment. Won't purchase again.

No grip unless very wet!

Bought this yoga towel for hot yoga to stop my hands and feet from sliding all over the mat. Unfortunately I have found that unless the towel is wet (i.e. well saturated with water, not just damp) there is absolutely no grip and the towel is more slippery than the mat! Even my mega sweaty hands do not seem to provide enough moisture for this towel. When the towel is very wet it has a lot of grip but this means dropping out of yoga poses and interrupting flows to spray the mat multiple times per class...
This towel would only be suitable for a home practice where you have plenty of time to spray the towel between poses.
