I have tried memory foam pads, pillows, soft cushions, well anything soft really, to support and ease my poor, achy back, and have eventually found the cushion for me, with this gel seat pad.
It is a very good size and weighs a good amount, so it doesn't slide around once positioned correctly. When I say heavy, I am comparing it with a normal cushion or pillow; it can be carried around without any problems, just heavier, over 1 kg. I am using it on my computer desk seat, in the car, and on the sofa; yes it really is that supportive comfort, I have been looking for.
As you can see it is a rubbery gel pad with a zip on cover; it might not look the most comfortable of cushions, but it immediately took the pressure of my spine, as I gradually sunk into it. I also found the gel like pockets of the pad, stopped my rear end feeling so hot; maybe the result of reduced pain, or just the way the pad it is constructed. In fact the longer I sit on it, the more comfortable it becomes, strange, but true.
The obvious solution now would be to purchase at least another two pads, so I can keep then in situ; oh, and partner says he also would like one, after trying it whilst I was out.
Anyone with back pain, or other aches and pains, that make sitting down uncomfortable, try on of these cushions; you'll be really glad you did; and a very reasonable priced, I thought.
