I had the indoor camera which the base had no tilt available & has you can see in the picture I need the tilt but the outdoor camera has a base that allows this, knowing this I wouldn’t had brought the extra mount.

Really Useful Bracket

I bought this after purchasing two Ring Cameras. After realising that the angle needed when fixed to the wall was greater then provided, I decided to at least try the bracket to see how or if it would help.
So, originally I used my iphone to view the images provided by the camera when it was placed and moved around the wall of a bedroom. I didnt matter which wall I used I could not get the full view I wanted of the room and all walls just cut part of the potential viewing screen off.
I was a bit reluctant to purchase the bracket for the cost, as the contents are what most of us have in our tool boxes, however there are two screws in the package that you won't have; the two small screws. Everything else is really just a nice to have. The screw driver part has a philips tip and a security tip for certain screws. The wall plugs and screws are again a nice to have. The drill bit is exact forthe size of hole needed and the wall plugs and screws fit perfectly.
The bracket has a handy spirit level in the centre of it so when you are marking your three holes for the wall, you can keep it level at the same time.

The bracket; excellent machine finish and everything works as expected. The final result is the camera can go nearly anywhere in the room and now fits the whole room in view. Easy to maintain and replace the battery and so easy to use the view finder on the iphone to striaghten it up again once the battery is replaced.

So, is it worth the cost? No, its a bit expensive for what it is, however the versatility and practical use is what you are paying for. The bracket matches the camera design and the finish is clean and minamilistic.
I am now going to buy more of the brackets to make other cameras more versatile and easier to place around the property.

If you have saved money on the cameras ( sale ) then spending £20 on the bracket, is, in my opinion, a good investment and worth it.

Superb quality and a must for the right viewing angle

This is my latest purchase to add to my Ring home security set-up my full review can be found under the ring 5 piece intruder alarm system. The packaging and build quality are superb with excellent connection and picture quality. The camera is packed full of features that integrates brilliantly with the rest of the home security system. Like other ring products everything you need is included only word of advice I would give is like me if you require a viewing angle that is not frontwards you will need to buy the Ring stick up mount sold separately for £19. I also purchased the Ring Solar panel so that I would avoid having to change the Battery total cost for the three components £148. The Solar panel is very nice quality and again a easy installation with all parts provided all you need is a wall a drill and a ladder. If you have connectivity problems could be well worth switching over to the Chime Pro 2 Network if you have this as part of your installation. Does the job but shouldn’t have been an option/additional purchase to the stick up Cam. Also way too much money for what you are buying.

Works Well But Over Priced

I have to admit I did find it kind of annoying to have to buy this separately in order to hang the Ring camera on the ceiling in our porch, especially at another £20, but having purchased it, it is good and does give a much better viewing angle from our front door and can be moved about more too than when it’s fixed to a wall. Just irritating to pay for a bracket that should be included with the original battery camera. It does come with a screwdriver with 2 different ends and spare screws, including the security ones. Watch the videos on YouTube from Ring as to how to attach it, it makes perfect sense once you see how.
