ESR Upgraded USB-C PD Headphone adapter. I use this for my Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus since Samsung no longer makes cell phones with a built-in headphone jack. The adapter plugs into the phone's USB-C connection and allows the audio to be played into a radio or amplifier device via a 3.5mm plug to output the audio source into that amplifier device's AUX or INPUT jack to be heard through the device's speaker system.
The ESR Upgraded USB-C headphone adapter works and sounds very good. Much better than using one of those FM transmitters to output the sound onto a selected FM radio frequency which has very little transmit power to overcome radio static.
The only problem I have with the ESR Upgraded USB-C adapter, is when the phone is disturbed when removing it from the phone cradle or just holding the phone to make a call. When this happens, the connection stops. Handling the phone carefully, will prevent this from happening, but most cases, the connection will drop. This is very frustrating as trying to regain the connection will mean that the USB plug will need to be removed and re-inserted again. I am not sure if it is just my adapter causing this, or if other consumers are experiencing the same issues. My phone is fairly new and the USB plug is not loose and there is no dirt or lint deposits making the connection unstable when handling my phone.

Fortunately, I didn't experience some of the issues a few others have experienced with this unit.

I was able to listen to music on headphones, plug the charger in, and the phone charged. Music paused when the charging cable was plugged in, but played again after hitting play. So I can confirm that on the Z-Fold 2, you can charge and listen to music at the same time.

I used a set of standard Samsung earbud headphones with three button controls from an old phone, and I was able to control volume, pause/play music, skip to next track with double press of pause/play button. I was also able to answer and end calls with the play/pause button, as expected. This worked with the charging cable plugged into the unit, or without.

I also plugged in a pair of normal stereo over-ear headphones with no controls, and a standard tip-ring-ring stereo plug, and it worked fine and sounded great.

Overall, so far, I'm very happy with the performance of the unit. The sound was excellent, and it functioned as expected. I wondered if the volume level would be loud enough, presuming that the unit must have its own amplifier to power the headphone speakers, and it's definitely louder than I can handle with the volume cranked up, with both types of tested headphones. You won't be needing a headphone amp.

It's also very small and fairly unobtrusive, and would work fine with phone in pocket.

Basically, it gives you your headphone jack back on your phone!
