bought for my husband for Christmas and he is muscular around the chest but only a size 40 chest. It fits but a bit snug and he is very slim so not very generous on sizing. Not washed it yet so can't judge how it washes as he hasn't worn it due to it being a bit snug. If you are a bit chunky would go for next size up!
