This is my third pair of joycons. 2 joycons, both left ones started drifting on my two previous joycons. (Then I lost them somehow hehe so can't send them in under guarantee either...).
When they work they are great and if you don't loose them like me you can send them in to amazon for a replacement. Or you can buy the spare parts of Amazon and fix them yourself for 10$.

These look amazing, their colors are even more vibrant than in the picture. I took off a star because what I got was left pink right green, while what's pictured is left green right pink. This doesn't make much difference to me, but if I already had this set and was trying to get the opposite so I could have full pink or full green, it would be a serious issue.

What I received is the standard retail boxed Joycon pair. It includes both Joycons and two identical black slide-on wrist straps.

Apart from the looks, what can I say, they're official Nintendo Switch Joycons with all the features. They're well built and work nicely. The analogs are precise but less so than a traditional controller, though some of that effect is from holding them bare or with the included strap. Using any sort of grip that holds them together improves accuracy. Always use a grip or strap when playing with motion controls, it's too easy to accidentally throw a bare Joycon at the TV. And make sure to line up the embossed + or - on the strap with the Joycon since it can be hard to remove it if you put it on backwards. The sticks WILL eventually drift, which can sometimes be fixed by lifting the rubber skirt under the stick and blowing air duster in there.

You can also use these on PC. In most cases it's silly but I find a single Joycon very nice for some turn based games. You hold the sync button between SR and SL for a few seconds and then pair it to the PC like any other Bluetooth device. You need some software to make it work though, either BetterJoy or Joycon-driver. BetterJoy is the simpler and more intuitive solution, an all-in-one solution that turns Joycons into XInput. Joycon-driver allows better button mapping but you also need vJoy for it to work, which makes it a standard USB gamepad, and then you have to add x360ce if you need XInput.

First of all, my kids love the color of this item. The pink and green are a nice combo and we call them the "watermelon" controllers. We purchases this Joy-Con set and also an off-brand wireless controller so that we could do multi-player games for our Switch.

As a side-by-side comparison, this official set has proved much more durable than the other controller that we purchased at the same time. The off-brand controller was fine for a few months, but then the D-pad started experiencing severe drift in the controls. Meanwhile, these Joy-Con controllers are still going strong with no noticeable lag or difference in the button action. The battery life is fine, you can easily play for hours without having to charge.

Conclusion: Although I still balk at the price a bit, these are the way to go if you need replacement or extra controllers for your Switch.
